Myth to Life: The Rise of Riley McCabe - Hunted
by P. A. Matthews

This sequel to Myth to Life: Rise of Riley McCabe: At Death’s Door is once again

about the relationship between Riley and Braedon. In At Death’s Door, Riley witnesses

and takes part in the death of Braedon’s closest friend and lover, Sloan. As the story

begins Riley is suffering from the affects of what happened to her during that incident

and her encounter with her arch nemesis Qayin. Knowing that there is impending

danger to not only her, but Braedon, she seeks out help from her closest protectors

to find out what is behind the danger that will not only affect her, but Braedon and

those closest to him in the House of Carlisle.

There are several major players in this sequel who are after Braedon, a vampire, and

who want to take over control of him by capturing Riley. The anathenma Host, Conway

and his partner Doran are after Riley and her power. Riley is a shape shifter and has the

power to change form at will. Finding out from her two closest friends the reasons why

Qayin spared her life and did not destroy her before, and why Desmond Braedon’s

bodyguard hates her so much and wants her exiled from his life. As Desmond learns,

she is not fully human and he has no idea the full extent of her powers until he tries

to come up against her and loses. Andrew, Braedon’s assistant, reminds her of the danger

that is about to start during what they call the Samhain. It occurs during Halloween and

there are many deaths that will occur. The purpose as told in the story is that the Host

and his followers will ride through each town and kill and devour all of the humans.

In this haunting sequel the author once again leaves the reader with a cliffhanger. Riley

knows that she must make the ultimate sacrifice in order to save Braedon and those

closest to him.

This series has captured my attention and should be put into one book. There are many

unanswered questions and more that the reader wants to learn about why the Host wants

to destroy Braedon and Riley and everyone related to him. In my opinion the book is well

written. The descriptions of each character are so vivid that you can picture them in your

mind as well as each event that happens in the book.

I would definitely recommend Myth to Life: The Rise of Riley McCabe - Hunted

to anyone that loves the paranormal and friends too.

Hunted’ plunges you deeper into the realm of Riley McCabe, and the stakes
are muliplied. There is lttle doubt, when reading a story like this, that the writer
is filled to the brim with ideas, and that they are poured in a manner that is
concise and on the mark without wasting the reader's time with trivial details.

For anyone wishing to discover a story that is fresh and delightful, they need
not go further, for the Myth to Life series is the one to read.”

Hunted’ is good horror of its type and is pure literary escapism for the horror
fan. This is a fun book and an excellent read, with chilling horror and a brilliant
ending. The gook features plenty of intriguing moments and self-deprecating
humor with an added twist at the end.

This is another must read by P. A. Matthews.”

“Riley McCabe makes a crucial choice in this third installment by P. A. Matthews,
‘Hunted’, and it may destroy everything ... including her. The fourth installment
cannot come soon enough. I'm hooked.
